3 Note the position of the staple unit.

If the staple unit is not in the home position (position next to the

door), then verify that there is no paper in the staple tray area and

close the staple door. The finisher will advance the stapler unit to

the home position. Once the finisher stops the advancing of the

stapler unit, then open the staple door.

Never insert your fingers all the way into the open

stapler compartment, unless instructed to do so.
