Caution: Always wear the gloves when replacing the transfer

charging roller and gear assembly to prevent any finger oil or other

contaminants clinging to the surface of the roller. These may reduce

print quality.

Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, and

disconnect any interface cables before replacing the transfer

charging roller and gear assembly. Be careful because the fixing

assembly and other internal parts become very hot.

Keep the following in mind when replacing the transfer charging roller

gear assembly:

 Always wear the gloves provided to prevent any finger oil,

scratches, or other contaminants, which may affect print quality,

from clinging to the surface of the roller.

 Don’t touch or clean the transfer charging roller and gear assem-

bly when replacing it.

 Wash off any toner from your hands or clothing immediately with

cold water.

 Don’t remove the protective sheet on the transfer charging roller

until the gear assembly is securely positioned.
